Selecting Your Masport Pump The Masport H-Series air and liquid cooled pressure/vacuum pumps offer many advantages for pumpers from the single truck operator to the largest fleet owner. With pumps ranging from 100 CFM at 15" Hgto 232 CFM at 15" Hg. Both air and liquid cooled models feature a high degree of parts interchangeability, Greatly reducing the number of replacement parts needed to be stocked by the distributor as well as the user. Masport can equip any truck, from small septic units to large tractor trailer rigs. Masport also offers a complete lin of accessories to compliment the H-Series pressure/vacuum pumps. AIR COOLED MODELS H-Series air cooled pumps provide continuous duty operation to 20" Hg or 20 PSIG and intermittent service to 27" Hg to 25 PSIG. The H-series models are designed for application such as liquid waste transport, oil field service work, and many other pressure/vacuum applications. Masport pressure/vacuum pumps are equipped with heavy duty ball bearings and end thrust protection allowing them to be driven directly from the truck power take-off, belts or hydraulic motor. The double end shaft allows operation by clockwise or counterclockwise drive system. LIQUID COOLED MODELS Masport's liquid cooled pressure/vacuum pumps incorporate the same standard features as the air cooled models plus offer continuous operation to 27" Hg or 30 PSIG. The liquid cooled design provides pre-start warm-up when the pump's water jacket is connected to the engine's cooling system. When the pump is driven by an air cooled engine, Masport can provide a complete cooling system including coolant tank, heat exchanger, fans, temperature sensors, water pump, and fittings. INTEGRAL VALVE TYPE The HV models are equipped with an integral changeover valve to allow both vacuum or pressure operation with a minimum amount of plumbing. The HV models also include an integral anti-spin flap valve to prevent backspin of the pump when the system is shutdown with vacuum or pressure in the tank. FLANGE PLATE TYPE The HF models are supplied with a threaded flange plate. This model is useful when vacuum only or pressure only operation is needed, or can be used with a remote 4-way valve to provide vacuum/pressure operation when access to an integral valve is precluded by the mounting location of the pump.
Uncompromising Quality And Design CASTING QUALITY All castings are produced in Masport's own foundry where electric induction furnaces and computer monitoring provides consistent metallurgical control. These high grade castings are then stress relieved before machining. MACHINING Each pump's rotor is turned then ground to size; the cylinder is bored then honed; and both end covers are turned before being lab polished. These micro smooth surfaces allow the pump to be assembled to exact clearances resulting in higher ultimate vacuum and long-tem pump performance. SELF ADJUSTING VANES Centrifugal force holds the vanes in positive contact with the cylinder for a uniformly tight seal. Specially treated Frobestos vane material prevents warped or blistered vanes which can cause pump failure.
ANTI-SPIN CHECK VALVE All HV model pumps and the H15WF are equipped with built-in anti-spin check valves to prevent pump damage due to back spin. Backspin can occur when the pump is disengaged with pressure of vacuum in the system. PERFORMANCE Superior port design provides high air flow per horsepower.
